Picroside II is a iridoid compound extracted from Cortex Corydalis, which has anti-inflammatory and anti apoptotic effects. Picrosside II, Pedroside II, inhibits NLRP3 inflammatory bodies and NF- κ Activation of the B pathway reduces the inflammatory response in sepsis. Picroside II is an antioxidant that can reduce ROS production and protect the blood brain barrier (BBB) after injury (CI/R), with neuroprotective effects. Picrosside II has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, antiviral, and other pharmacological activities.
