DTPA is a white crystalline powder,soluble in hot water and alkali solution, slightly soluble in cold water,insoluble in organic solvents such as alcohol and ether.DTPA is a highly effective chelating agent with strong chelating ability. It can rapidly form water-soluble complexes with calcium,magnesium,iron,lead, copper and manganese,especially for high valence color metal.Therefore,DTPA is widely used in acrylic fiber production,such as color inhibitors,paper industry,pharmaceutical stabilizer,chelating titrant,etc.
