VU0360172 stimulates polyphosphoinositide (PI) hydrolysis in vivo, which is abrogated in mGlu5 receptors gene deleted mice. VU0360172 is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Alkyne group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules containing Azide groups.
