Upconversion luminescence is based on the two-photon or multiphoton process.The luminescence center absorbs two or more photons one after another,and reaches the luminescence level through the non radiative relaxation, and then transits to the ground state to produce short wavelength photons,that is,the low-frequency excitation luminescence is converted into high-frequency emission light.
