Taraxasterol acetate(C32H52O2,468.8) is a pentacyclic triterpene that has been found in P. sagittalis and has diverse biological activities.It reduces the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and Hsp72 induced by phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA） in isolated human neutrophils when used at concentrations of 10 and 100 µM and increases Hsp72 production in unstimulated isolated human neutrophils at 100 µM.
