Far-red fluorescence of DiD allows these liposomes to be used for tracking and imaging in various cellular contexts, particularly because this wavelength is less absorbed by biological tissues. This enhances visualization in live-cell imaging.
PS:PC:Cholesterol(20:50:30 molar ratio)-based Fluoroliposome DiD can facilitate enhanced uptake in apoptotic or activated cells, making them particularly useful for drug delivery systems in cancer therapy and immunology studies.
