Ondansetron exerts antiemetic effects by antagonizing 5-HT receptor located on local neurons in the peripheral and central nervous system. Ondansetron suppresses nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Ondansetron has orally bioactivity.
