Product description
DAPI is commonly used as a nuclear counterstain for fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, and chromosome staining. Due to its high affinity for DNA, DAPi is often used in cell counting, apoptosis detection, mycoplasma contamination detection, cell sorting based on DNA content, and nuclear segmentation tools in high-content imaging analysis. Although DAPI can enter living cells at high concentrations, DAPI does not have cell membrane permeability and is usually used to stain fixed cells. For live cell staining, Hoechst 33342 is a popular nuclear counterstain with cell membrane permeability.
