BDP 630/650 is a far red emitting bordipyrromethene fluorophore for Cy5 ®- Filter sets. Due to the relatively long lifetime of the excited state, this fluorescent dye is particularly suitable for applications based on the measurement of the fluorescent lifetime.The reactive maleimide group allows binding to sulfhydryl groups, especially in biomolecules such as peptides and proteins.
