							UDP-N-acetyl-D-glucosamine disodium salt/UDP-α-D-N-Acetylglucosamine Disodium Salt/UDP-GlcNAc disodium salt is a donor substrate for N-acetylglucosaminyltransferases. UDP-N-acetyl-D-glucosamine disodium salt is useful in the synthesis of aryl azide derivatives that can be employed in the affinity labeling of glycosyltransferase and UDP-HexNAc pyrophosphorylase. UDP-N-acetyl-D-glucosamine disodium salt is a natural nucleotide sugar. In antibiotic biosynthesis pathways in fungi, UDP-N-acetyl-D-glucosamine disodium salt is considered an important component.
