L-3, 3′, 5-Triiodo-L-thyronine is covalently linked to HRP through reductive amination. Triiodothyronine (T3) HRP can be utilized for direct competitive ELISA for the detection and quantization of free T3 using immobilized anti-thyroxine antibodies.
Triiodothyronine (T3) HRP is a reagent used in laboratory diagnostic kits, specifically an T3-Horseradish Peroxidase conjugate, where the hormone triiodothyronine (T3) is chemically linked to the enzyme horseradish peroxidase (HRP). This conjugate is employed in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) to detect and quantify the amount of T3 in biological samples like serum or plasma, facilitating the diagnosis of thyroid disorders such as hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.
