TPP-curcumin,Tetraphenylporphyrin (TPP)is a well-known porphyrin derivative that exhibits interesting photophysical and photochemical properties, while curcumin is a natural compound found in turmeric with numerous biological activities.The combination of TPP and curcumin in TPP-Cur leads to the formation of a hybrid molecule with enhanced properties.TPP provides TPP-Cur with fluorescence and photosensitization capabilities,making it useful in fluorescence imaging and photodynamic therapy(PDT).
