TNOPPFe, also known as 5,10,15,20-tetra (4-nitrophenyl) porphyrin iron (III) chloride, is a second-generation functionalized metalloporphyrin biomimetic catalyst substituted with nitro groups. It can be used as a functional unit to construct conductive MOF materials, exhibiting excellent catalytic activity and product selectivity in electrocatalytic CO ₂ reduction and oxygen reduction reactions. As a high-performance biomimetic catalyst, it simulates the catalytic cycle of cytochrome P450 enzymes and efficiently catalyzes the oxidation of cyclohexane using air as an oxidant under mild conditions without additional co reducing agents or solvents. Its catalytic activity is significantly better than that of unsubstituted tetraphenylporphyrin iron.
