Product description
Surface modification of PEG2000 with doxorubicin liposomes involves the attachment of polyethylene glycol chains onto the surface of liposomes loaded with the anticancer drug doxorubicin. (PEGylation)the process of attaching PEG chains is commonly employed in drug delivery systems to improve the stability, circulation time and biodistribution of liposomes. By coating liposomes with PEG, the system gains a protective layer that reduces opsonization and recognition by the immune system, thus extending the liposomes circulation time in the bloodstream.
