Carbon dots are embedded in the SiO2 coating on the surface of nano NaYF4:Yb,TM particles to form a relatively stable nanocomposite.The nanocomposites show interesting dual-mode luminescence properties,i.e.blue-green light under 365 nm ultraviolet lamp and blue violet light under 980 nm laser.
