Sialic acid-FITC

Sialic acid-FITC is a conjugate between sialic acid, a common sugar found at the outermost end of glycans on cell surfaces and extracellular matrix proteins, and fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), a fluorescent probe that is commonly used as a bioimaging tool. This conjugation enables specific detection and visualization of sialylated molecules, such as glycoproteins, glycolipids, and proteoglycans, in various biological samples using fluorescence microscopy or flow cytometry.
