Product description
Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PNIPAAm) has good temperature sensitivity because of its hydrophilic amide group and hydrophobic isopropyl group on its macromolecular chain. PNIPAAM hydrogel usually has a volume phase transition in 32e,that is,its LCST (lowest critical temperature) is 32e.When T LCST,the swelling gel will shrink water;when T< LCST,the gel will absorb water again.This is due to the strong hydrogen bond interaction between water molecules and NIPAM grou.
