Product description
The cloning of PLAP, a phospholipase A2 activating protein/CAS:137314-60-4, revealed a region of high homology with melittin in the cDNA-encoded amino acid sequence. The synthetic peptide corresponding to this region was found to increase phospholipase A2 activity in murine smooth muscle cell sonicates in a dose-dependent manner, in this regard being more effective than synthetic melittin.
