PEG3-Tos

PEG3-Tos/Tos-PEG2-OH/Hydroxy-PEG2-Tos/OH-PEG2-Tos/OH-PEG2-Tos linker bears a hydroxyl group and a tosyl group. The PEG spacer increases the aqueous solubility of the resulting compound. The hydroxyl group enables further derivatization or replacement with other reactive functional groups. The tosyl group is a very good leaving group for nucleophilic substitution. This type of compound may be utilized in bioconjugation chemistry, where the tosylate group can participate in specific chemical reactions or be utilized as a reactive handle for further functionalization.
