Nuclear yellow is a fluorescent dye that is used to label DNA content in live and fixed cells. Nuclear yellow produces yellow fluorescence when bound to DNA, which can be measured using fluorescence microscopy, microplate fluorometry, or flow cytometry. It is commonly combined with the popular retrograde tracer true blue for two-color neuronal mapping.
