1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-polyethylene glycol-Dibenzocyclooctyne is a highly active phospholipid peg derivative that can react with azides. Dibenzocyclooctyne(DBCO)is a common copper free click chemical reagent with rapid and specific reactivity to azide(-N3).PEG-DBCO derivatives have fast movement and good stability in water buffer. The reaction of DBCO with azido group enables DSPE to label and couple to the target substrate efficiently.
