1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-polyethylene glycol-Vinylsulfone  is a self-assembling PEG reagent which forms lipid bilayer. The amphiphilic polymer can be used to prepare liposome for delivering therapeutics, such as nucleic acid (mRNA/DNA) or protein. The vinyl sulfone moiety is reactive with cysteine or other thiol molecule via thiol-ene chemistry.
