DOTAP:DOPC:Chol:1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine-N-(6-azidohexanoyl) (ammonium salt){5:64:30:1molar ratio}-based Fluoroliposome Cyanine 5 lipid-Azide can promote its safe and effective delivery to target cells.
The presence of cationic DOTAP may facilitate the delivery of genetic material (DNA/RNA) into cells, making it a candidate for gene therapy applications.
Due to the Cy5 tag, these liposomes can be used in fluorescence imaging to track cellular uptake and behavior of the liposomal payload in real time.
