Product description

Dibenzocyclooctyne-streptavidin/DBCO-Streptavidin/Streptavidin-DBCO refers to a complex formed between streptavidin and a dibenzocyclooctyne (DBCO) moiety. DBCO modifications are utilized to attach various molecules, such as fluorophores or biotin, to proteins or other biomolecules. Streptavidin is a protein derived from Streptomyces avidinii bacteria that has an exceptional affinity for biotin, a vitamin. Streptavidin is widely used in molecular biology and biotechnology for its ability to bind tightly to biotin and its high stability.
