Cyclo(D-Trp-Tyr)
Product description
Cyclo(D-Trp-Tyr)/Cyclo(-D-Trp-Tyr)/CAS 852955-00-1 is a cyclic peptide that is produced by the fungus Microbispora sp. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, as well as other bacteria, fungi and cancer cells. Cyclo(-D-Trp-Tyr) binds to the ribosomal RNA in these cells and inhibits protein synthesis. The peptide does not bind to subtilisin or bgc-823, but does bind to lung fibroblasts and leukemia cells.
