Cy5-vancomycin

Cy5-vancomycin/cyanine5-vancomycin is a fluorescently-labeled form of the antibiotic drug vancomycin. Vancomycin is commonly used to treat serious bacterial infections, particularly those caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and other Gram-positive bacteria. The addition of the Cy5 fluorophore to vancomycin allows for its visualization and tracking within cells or tissues using fluorescence microscopy techniques.
