4,4-Bis(1,2,2-triphenylvinyl)-1,1-biphenyl ( BTPE)/4,4-Bis(1,2,2-triphenylvinyl)-1,1-biphenyl/4,4-Bis(triphenylethenyl)-1,1-biphenyl/ BTPE/ 4,4-Bis(1,2,2-triphenylethenyl)biphenyl is a luminogen. It is used to design BTPE-based electroluminescent devices. More recently, it has been used as a blue-green emitter and host for organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). 4,4-bis(1,2,2-triphenylvinyl)biphenyl (BTPE) nanowires can be formed by annealing crystalline microfibers.
