Biotin-Hydrocortisone

Biotin-hydrocortisone is a functionalized biotin conjugate that covalently links biotin (vitamin B7) to the nucleus of hydrocortisone. It is a core tool molecule in the development of glucocorticoid targeted drug delivery and immune detection probes. By bridging Biotin Hydrocortisone with biotin streptavidin and coupling it to the surface of targeted nanocarriers, the enrichment efficiency of Hydrocortisone in inflammatory lesions, rheumatoid joints, and other areas is significantly improved, significantly reducing the side effects of systemic hormone exposure. Further binding with fluorescently labeled streptavidin can be used to construct a bifunctional probe for visualizing and tracking the distribution dynamics of hydrocortisone at the site of inflammation in live small animals.
