Product description
Biotin-C16-Ceramide is a biotinylated sphingolipid derivative, in which biotin is covalently attached to C16-ceramide. This conjugate combines the bioactive lipid ceramide, involved in apoptosis and cell signaling, with a biotin tag for streptavidin-based detection, enrichment, or delivery applications.
Applications:
Lipid trafficking and metabolism studies using biotin–streptavidin systems.
Cell signaling research on ceramide-mediated apoptosis and stress pathways.
Affinity purification or pull-down assays for ceramide-binding proteins.
Targeted delivery in drug discovery and nanomedicine.
