5-Aminolevulinic acid,Cas106-60-5
5-Aminolevulinic acid(5-ALA),Cas106-60-5 is a non protein amino acid, an intermediate in heme synthesis, and a chemical in the porphyrin synthesis pathway Complex. It is a photosensitizer, anti-tumor agent, and prodrug. It can also be used in combination with blue light illumination (in the form of hydrochloride) to treat mild to moderate thickness actinic keratosis on the face or scalp.
In fluorescence-guided surgery, particularly in neurosurgery and urology, 5-ALA is employed to differentiate between healthy and cancerous tissue. When administered to a patient prior to surgery, the cancer cells preferentially take up 5-ALA and metabolize it to form fluorescent porphyrins, leading to their fluorescence under specific light, thereby aiding in the identification and removal of malignant tissue.
Furthermore, the pharmaceutical industry uses 5-ALA for the synthesis of various medications. The compound has also shown potential beneficial effects in research related to neurodegenerative diseases and other medical conditions.
We can mass produce (kg level), process scaling up, pilot supply, raw material supply, and intermediate production. Our production technology is mature and more cost-effective. Feel free to inquire at any time.
