2,3-cGAMP-azide
2,3-cGAMP-azide
2,3-cGAMP-azides are excellent reagents for coupling 2,3-cGAMP to alkyne modified biological targets such as proteins, peptides, and nucleic acids. In recent years, 2,3-cGAMP has attracted much attention as a potential target for treating diseases such as cancer and viral infections. Research has shown that immune checkpoint inhibitors are a cancer immunotherapy that can activate the immune system and enhance its efficacy. 2,3-cGAMP (cyclic GMP AMP) is a cyclic dinucleotide second messenger molecule that plays a crucial role in the innate immune system. It is synthesized by cGAS (cyclic GMP AMP synthase) in response to cytoplasmic DNA released by damaged or infected cells. Once synthesized, 2,3-cGAMP binds to the adapter protein STING (a stimulatory factor of the interferon gene) and triggers downstream signaling pathways, producing type I interferon and other cytokines, thereby generating an immune response against invading pathogens.
