Gancaonin O/CAS:129145-53-5/2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-5,7-dihydroxy-6-(3-methylpent-2-enyl)chromen-4-one. Gancaonin O is a death ligand that binds to the death receptor on macrophages and induces apoptosis. Gancaonin O has been shown to induce programmed cell death in lung cancer cells by interfering with the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. This drug also interacts with the M2 macrophage phenotype, which is associated with tumor suppression and immune regulation. Gancaonin O is currently being evaluated as a potential therapeutic agent for lung cancer.
